Why Storytelling? Stories can influence in ways that stats and facts can’t. That’s because we are all hardwired to tell stories but too often at work we rely on power points and jargon to explain our messaging. No wonder people find it hard to listen and can’t explain their company strategy. Within the business context, meaningful stories can address this issue — in fewer words with more cut through — turning communication into inspiration.

Who will be delivering this session?

Dr Claire Scobie coaches senior leaders and their executive teams to help them get their story straight. Through her consultancy Wordstruck™, she works with companies helping them harness the power of storytelling as a strategic business tool.
With a media career that spans over twenty years in the UK, India and Australia, Claire delivers Storytelling for Leaders™ program as a partner with Anecdote. She is an award-winning author and business journalist, a writing mentor, speaker and facilitator.
