In this workshop Matt Garman, CEO of Sales Plus Profit, explores why so many business owners go looking for that magical ‘Super Hero’ sales hire to improve sales performance? With such personnel risks, why do so few firms focus on building their own sales system? To some businesses selling can appear easy, and yet to others, even the mention of the word ‘sales’ leaves them feeling cold, uncomfortable and scanning for the exit doors.

In Matt’s interactive and engaging workshop he shares his 25 plus years’ experience of sales leadership, as well as the sobering experiences of having to increasing sales inside his own companies. Matt seeks to eliminate as much mystery as possible out of the sales process by taking his audience through a structured way that helps delegates understand and evaluate the overall sustainability of their sales teams.

The workshop follows a methodology that focusses on 4 keys pillars, critical for any successful sales team:

Vision - (that everyone in your company understands, buys into and is able to articulate

People - (attracting the right people and then developing and inspiring them to perform)

Process - (building and implementing repeatable structure and consistency that generates scale)

Management - (introducing ‘best practice’ techniques around measuring and motivating your people)

During the workshop Matt takes his audience through an assessment that subsequently highlights the biggest opportunities for individuals to improve their sales performance.

At the end of the session every delegate leaves with a clear roadmap, together with tools to help develop their sales performance on an ongoing and iterative basis.

Who will be delivering the session: 

Matt Garman: Matt left home at sixteen, and while his classmates went to college and university he went to sea on a trawler gutting fish.

After witnessing the burial at sea of a colleague he started a career in sales in his early 20’s and ended up buying the company. He sold it a few years later, after that he grew another technology company and sold it in 2012. Now he’s applying what he learnt and building a company that helps other companies grow their own sales and profits and is the author of a book on the subject. He used to play rugby, now he coaches it, he’s competed in Ironman events, he’s dived with great white sharks and in 2017 he swam the English Channel raising money for young people with Mental Health issues.
