Building a $1 Billion Business, with Greg Mesch, Founder of City Fibre

O9ko4uflsxqxgbrdynzn
Want to know how a billion-dollar business scales to such heights? After building four billion-dollar companies in as many countries, Greg Mesch is now working on his fifth. We think he's the man to ask.

Founder of CityFibre, the UK’s largest alternative provider of wholesale fibre network infrastructure, and with over 25 years of telecom, internet and technology-based experience behind him, Greg’s expertise speaks for itself.

Greg was Chief Operating Officer of ESAT Telecom in Ireland, building the largest fixed-line competitor to Telecom Eireann from scratch and raising all of their early stage capital. ESAT was later sold to BT for over €1 billion. He then went on to make the founding investment in Versatel Telecom NV, one of the largest fibre-based infrastructures in those markets in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Finally, Greg developed Versatel’s business plan, recruited core management teams and raised over €1.5 billion in capital before it was eventually sold for over €2 billion to Tele2.

Greg will offer invaluable insight at this Roundtable event, sharing his experience of scaling businesses to dizzying heights including the steps to getting there: business plans, management team-building, and raising finance.
