Retail & Consumer: Adapting to the Changing British High Street

Join us for the first event in a series of Special Interest Group dinners for members in the retail and consumer space, which will explore the challenges of running a B2C business in 2018.

From technological innovation to changing consumer behaviour and new types of competitor, we will explore ways to adapt to the changing British high street. Retail represents a huge and vital proportion of the British economy, accounting for £358bn in sales in 2016 and 2.8 million jobs. The ongoing challenge for small and scaling businesses is accessing the right audience, understanding their evolving desires and preferences, and how to adapt to compete with new platforms and retail channels.

This dinner will look to explore, but will not be limited to: 
  • How High Street retailers are adopting e-commerce and multi-channel to compete
  • How to succeed with a bricks and clicks strategy – and pitfalls to avoid
  • Understand changing customer preferences and buying habits
  • Explore new sales channels and partners
 
What are Special Interest Groups? 

In contrast to our cross-sector roundtables, Special Interest Groups are designed to bring together members in the same space, with similar clients, to discuss challenges and opportunities that are more relevant to their industry. You can share needs and leads, and learn from peers, with a strong understanding of your commercial landscape. A member of the team will support with follow up connections and insights.
