Life Adventures | Trekking to both Poles, and what it taught me

with Hugh Robertson

“this expedition will be tough both physically and mentally, but I am doing something which I never dreamt would be possible and will drive me forward…”

The Supper Club member Hugh Robertson, Founder and CEO of experiential and event agency RPM, is one extraordinary human.

Three years ago, Hugh completed an expedition to the North Pole to raise money for The Princes Trust. In 2017, he decided to do it all over again, heading to The South Pole to raise more funds. The two feats combined raised over £1 million, providing life opportunities to young people, many of whom have faced considerable challenges in their childhoods and early years.

For Hugh, these expeditions were major personal challenges. After a rugby accident when he was 16, Hugh was left paralysed and has since had numerous operations and procedures, overcoming them all to achieve this incredible feat.

Hugh will share his secrets to overcoming personal struggles, what motivated him to success, and what he learned from the experience.

See you there? Drinks on us.

This is the first in our brand-new Life Adventures series, offering members a chance to get to know one another better, celebrate incredible achievements and share life lessons learned from extreme experiences.
