China represents 50% of global economic growth, with The Economist forecasting that China will overtake America as the largest economy in the world by 2024. China has 1.3 billion consumers and 680 million mobile internet users. It’s a huge market – and this Roundtable will help you break into it.

The time, resources and energy required to operate in China are substantial, even for large corporations, so how can scaling businesses build a foundation for long term success in China? Professor George Yip (Imperial College London) is joining our members to share his expertise on this topic and thoughts on the current market.

About Professor George Yip:

George is one of the world’s leading authorities on global strategy and marketing and Professor of Management and Co-Director, Centre on China Innovation, at China Europe International Business School, based in both London and Shanghai. He is also a Marketing and Strategy Professor at Imperial College Business School. Although he is most well-known in the academic world, George has years of experience in the business sector, particularly managing relationships with multinational customers, which he wrote about in Managing Global Customers (2007).

Together we’ll explore:

  • Adapting your business to the Chinese market
  • Recruiting talent in China and recruitment laws
  • Establishing positive, long-term relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Navigating cultural, linguistic and legal differences
