Multi-Criteria Decision-Making, or MCDM, is a tool that can be applied to many of the complex decisions you face while running your business on a daily basis. It is most applicable to solving problems that are characterised as a choice among alternatives, and effective application of MCDM can help you focus on what’s important to make instinct-informed decisions in a strategic, logical way.

During 25 years at sea, Richard held command of operations in every rank from Lieutenant Commander to Chief of Staff at NATO Maritime Command, to Rear Admiral Strategy Advisor in the Royal Navy. Richard has since made a full transition to civilian life, and the charity sector in particular. During his tenure as CEO of Guide Dogs, Richard led the charity to more than double its annual income, and is now CEO of Tall Ships Youth Trust.
As a communicator and motivator, Richard has led strategic change programmes, collaborations and mergers, and routinely managed large-scale human and financial resources. Richard will share examples of when he has utilised MCDM to his advantage in a range of scenarios across a diverse career.
