Dinner with Kanya King MBE, Founder of the MOBO Awards

Acclaimed as one of London’s ‘Most Influential People’ by the Evening Standard, and amongst Britain’s ‘Most Entrepreneurial Women’ by Real Business, Kanya King is celebrated for her drive and vision to take urban music from the margins of British popular culture to the very heart of the UK mainstream.

Succeeding against all odds, Kanya grew the business astronomically, and 22 years since the first televised MOBO Awards, the annual show now attracts 400 million viewers across 200 countries. The MOBO platform has helped launch and propel many of today’s huge musical talents, including Emeli Sandé, Rihanna and the late Amy Winehouse.

Kanya will be joining us to share her story, and the wealth of insight she has gained across 22 years growing a multi-million pound business, whilst maintaining clear sight of its social purpose, her vision and even now the potential for MOBOs to grow and evolve.
