With platforms like LinkedIn, employers now have access to a wider range of talent than ever before – but on the flip side, potential new hires have a great deal of choice too. Retaining a great hire will save you time and money – so how do you attract top talent to your company, and then keep them engaged?
The Supper Club’s recent Talent Tactics report explored the motivations and expectations of the millennial workforce to help business owners recruit, retain and develop top performers. As an employer, it’s important to consider how Gen X and Y differ in their needs and expectations: does your office space need to evolve to become more attractive? Is your company offering the right kind of incentives to hold onto top talent?
Times are changing, and so must employers’ approaches to attracting and retaining talent from a new generation of workers. The key is to be adaptable, creative in approach and open-minded to the needs and expectations of today’s -- and tomorrow’s -- workforce.
This roundtable will look to explore, but will not be limited to:
- Getting to grips with the gig economy and the expectations of millennial workers
- Attracting talent from the initial role description to interview and beyond
- Implementing a variety of perks to incentivise the best talent to stay
- Tactics to maintain high engagement levels once you’ve made a strong hire
